About Us

The North Otago Property Investors Association represents the property Owners and Landlords of the Waitaki District centred on the town of Oamaru. We have 80 members which represent a cross section of family based residential property owners, real estate companies, and full time investors.

We offer a full service to members, giving advice on:

? Property maintenance

? Tenancy issues

? New tenants

? Property viability

? District Council issues

We produce a newsletter six times per year, and encourage our members to receive the New Zealand Property Investor magazine monthly. Within our newsletter we promote local tradespeople and have articles of topical interest.

We hold meetings every second month, February, April, June, August, October, and in December we have a Christmas bus trip viewing properties followed by a evening function sponsored by Placemakers. Our meetings are held in the North Otago Club, Tees St Oamaru beginning at 7.30PM.

North Otago is a small community of 20 000 people which covers a huge geographical area based around the Waitaki River Valley. The principle town is Oamaru, which is world renowned for its Whitestone buildings, Blue and Yellow- eyed Penguins, and its proximity to the Moeraki Boulders.

Oamaru is still a property boom and house prices continue to rise with strong sales, albeit of a low base from depressed times in the early nineties. Returns on investment are reasonable, and better than what can be obtained in some major centres.
